    Description

Here are 3 very nice, very large vertebrae from a Xiphactinus.
From the late Cretaceous, about 83 million years ago, from the Smoky Hill Chalk Member of the Niobrara Formation near Gove County, Kansas.  Xiphactinus lived right alongside Mosasaurs, pterosaurs, and turtles, in the last Great Age of the Dinosaur.
