Beautifully Hand-Carved Carnelian Shell Cameo!
This beautifully hand-carved cameo is set in a simple but elegant 14K yellow gold bezel frame with a hidden bail on the back.  It did have a pin that I didn't care for, so I had a goldsmith remove it.  If you look at the image of the back, you can probably tell where the pin had been.
The Carnelian shell cameo measures 30mm x 22mm while the cameo and frame measures 34mm x 26mm.
Excellent condition.  I have no idea of the age of this pendant, but I would think it is not more than 50 years old.  I can find no cracks or chips in the cameo and the frame is not warped or bent.
A hallmark of 14K is stamped on the lower back of the frame.
The perfect condition of this cameo indicates it was a cherished and well-cared for piece of jewelry.
What an heirloom worthy piece!!!

Five years ago, I had gastric bypass surgery.  Since then, I have lost 110 pounds!  Every pound is still gone!  However, one bad outcome has resulted from the surgery.  I went a little overboard buying new clothes and shoes.  Did I say a little?  Four closets of clothes is a 'little' overboard, don't you think?  It is time to let go of some of them, primarily, the 'dress-up' clothes.
