LG 4-PC Apothecary DRUGSTORE SHOW GLOBE Stacking Bottle COMPLETE w/all SECTIONS
Stands over 2 feet tall when the sections are stacked together, about 26 inches in overall height when assembled !!!
I believe these were produced by the Owens-Illinois glass company in the 1930s.
It's all here too, including the scarce hard to find original hollow fillable glass stopper with rubber end plug.
No cracks or even tiny chips and the glass is unusually clear for this type of display piece which tells me the piece has seen little usage.
Just a GREAT old show bottle in absolutely SUPER CONDITION which makes this even more EXTRAORDINARY as these show bottles were prone to damage during cleaning if they slipped when being washed.
Also, these type of stacking display sections are generally found with much water staining and cloudiness present on the inside, not the case with this one, only some light haze in upper neck of large section, its
so clean inside that its absolutely
beautiful to display even without colored water added !!!
The height of bottom fillable section is about 13 inches from extreme tip to tip, about 7 inches in diameter at the widest point.
The height of the pedestal base is about 3-3/4 inches, diameter is right at 6-3/4 inches across the very bottom.
