    Description

    Vtg Brass Bronze Mortar W/ Eagle Head Handles Shield Pharmaceutical Hedgehog Rx
    Antique Mortar Eagle Headed Handles, Hedgehog In Center on both the front and back.  "MDCL" is on the base of one side while the other has "VEOLAN".  Shows age, use and wear. Interior has minor scratches due to use.
    I think it is bronze, but it may be brass. Bottom is engraved but it is very hard to read. Maker: Richard A. Kline. Size is approximately  4 1/2" T x 4 1/2" D. This is a very heavy piece; 3+ pounds.
