Vintage Schering Plough Veterinario (veterinarian) ALPACA SILVER Key Chain Ring Pharmaceutical U.S.A. One side with raised letters reads,
SCHERING U.S.A.
with a chemistry flask and the reverse,
VETERINARIO
with a snake around a vector. The ring is stamped,
ALPACA
for Alpaca silver. Comes with the original brown velvet drawstring pouch. The pouch reads,
SCHERING
and what appears to be
ESSEX (ESPANA), S.A.
, which may have been a subsidiary of Schering years ago.
The medallion measures 2 1/8" long x 1 1/4" wide. The entire keychain from top to bottom measures 4 3/4" long.
Condition:
Very good condition. Tarnished alpaca silver is unpolished. I have not been able to open the key ring, but perhaps once the tarnish is cleaned, it may open.
Schering Plough merged with Merck & Co. in 2009 and is now called, Merck & Co.
Proceeds benefit a local volunteer Fire Dept.
